उत्तर प्रदेश के लखनऊ मे इंडिया गठबंधन के तहत सपा ने 65 और कांग्रेस ने 45 सीटों पर दावा ठोंका है। जबकि, कुल सीटें 80 ही हैं। सीटों की साझेदारी के लिए इंडिया की समन्वय समिति राज्यवार बैठक करेगी। हालांकि, इस बारे में अंतिम निर्णय तभी हो पाएगा, जब घटक दलों का शीर्ष नेतृत्व साथ बैठेगा। इंडिया गठबंधन में अब सबसे अहम मुद्दा सीटों का बंटवारा ही है। सपा जहां पांच राज्यों के चुनावों में गठबंधन के तहत सीटें चाहती है, वहीं लोकसभा सीटों के मद्देनजर भी होमवर्क प्रारंभ हो गया है। अभी यूपी में सपा के पास तीन और कांग्रेस के पास एक लोकसभा सीट है। इंडिया के सूत्रों के मुताबिक, सपा ने फिलहाल 60-65 सीटों पर लड़ने का इरादा जाहिर किया है। वहीं, दावा करने में कांग्रेस भी पीछे नहीं है। इंडिया गठबंधन का मानना है कि हर राज्य की परिस्तिथितियां अलग-अलग हैं। इसलिए राज्यवार बैठक करके ही सीटों की बंटवारे की गुत्थियां सुलझाई जा सकती हैं। ये बैठकें करके सभी घटक दलों के शीर्ष नेतृत्व के सामने विचार के लिए राज्यवार प्रस्ताव रखे जाएंगे।
