उत्तर प्रदेश के आगरा के बाह में चरवाहा अपनी बकरी को बचाने के लिए मगरमच्छ से भिड़ गया। बताया गया है कि चंबल के पिनाहट घाट के पास नदी किनारे चर रही एक बकरी को मगरमच्छ खींच ले गया। ये देख चरवाहा बकरी को छुड़ाने की कोशिश में जुट गया। मगरच्छ के जबड़े से वो बकरी को खींचने के प्रयास कर रहा था, तभी मगरमच्छ ने उस पर हमला कर दिया, जिससे वो बाल-बाल बच गया। इस मंजर को देख वहां मौजूद लोगों की सांसे थम गईं। लोगों के शोर मचाने पर चरवाहा वहां से दूर हटा। मल्हन टूला के कालीचरन निषाद सोमवार की दोपहर पिनाहट घाट के पास नदी किनारे के खेत में बकरियां चरा रहे थे। उन्होंने बताया कि मगरमच्छ ने हमलाकर एक बकरी को पकड़ लिया। मगरमच्छ बकरी को नदी में खींचने लगा तो पास में चर रही बकरियों में भागने लगीं। तब उसका ध्यान बकरी की ओर गया। उन्होंने बताया कि जबड़े से बकरी को छुड़ाने की कोशिश की तो मगरमच्छ उस पर भी हमलावर हो गया। जिससे वह बाल-बाल बच गया। पीड़ित ने मुआवजे की गुहार लगाते हुए कहा है कि बकरी पालन के अलावा उसके पास जीविका का कोई दूसरा साधन नहीं है। इस संबंध में पूछे जाने पर बाह के रेंजर उदय प्रताप सिंह ने बताया कि नदी में बकरी उसी स्थान पर पानी पीने को पहुंच गई थी, जहां पर मगरमच्छ ने नेस्टिंग की थी। हैचिंग पीरियड में नेस्ट नस्ट होने के खतरे में मगरमच्छ ने बकरी पर हमला किया है।मगरमच्छ का हैचिंग पीरियड शुरु होते ही वन विभाग ने चंबल नदी के 38 गांवों में अलर्ट जारी कर लोगों को नदी किनारे न जाने की चेतावनी दी थी। अपने पशु भी चराने के लिए न ले जाने की नसीहत दी थी। मगरमच्छ के हमले को लेकर वन विभाग की चेतावनी के बाद भी लोग नहीं मान रहे। रेंजर उदय प्रताप सिंह ने बताया कि ऐसी घटनाएं न हों, इसके लिए जागरुकता बैठकें की जा रही हैं।
