उत्तर प्रदेश के औरैया जिले में अछल्दा थाना क्षेत्र के मोहम्मदाबाद में आर्थिक तंगी से परेशान होकर एक युवक ने फंदा लगाकर जान दे दी। मोहम्मदाबाद निवासी नीरज कुमार (38) पुत्र मन्नीलाल कठेरिया मजदूरी कर परिवार का भरण पोषण करता था। गुरुवार तड़के उसका शव कमरे के अंदर रस्सी के सहारे फंदे पर लटका मिला। पति का शव देख पत्नी भारती देवी ने शोर मचाया तो परिजन व पड़ोसी पहुंचे। परिवार के लोगों ने अछल्दा पुलिस को सूचना दी। मौके पर उप निरीक्षक पहलवान सिंह मौके पर पहुंचे और छानबीन की। मृतक की पत्नी ने बताया की पति पिछले कुछ दिनों से काम न मिला था। घर की माली हालत ठीक न होने पर परेशान चल रहे थे। बुधवार शाम खाना खाना के बाद सभी छप्पर के नीचे लेटे थे। रात में वह कब उठकर कमरे में चले गए, पता नहीं चला। तड़के जब वह उठी तो पति चारपाई पर नहीं थे। कमरे में जाकर देखा तो शव फंदे पर लटक रहा था। थानाध्यक्ष सत्यप्रकाश ने बताया कि घटना के कारणों का पता लगाया जा रहा है। शव पोस्टमार्टम के लिए भेजा गया है। पुलिस मामले की जांच कर रही हे
